Church of the Three Saints in Ramenki

The Church of the Three Saints in Ramenki is located on Mosfilmovskaya St., vl. 80. The temple in the name of The Three Saints existed at the end of the 14th century at the confluence of the Setuni and Ramenka rivers, in a quiet place favored by St. Cyprian. In 2006, a memorial cross was erected on the site of the old Church of the Three Saints (14th century) at the confluence of two rivers, the Ramenka and the Setuni. It was decided to restore the temple. The place closest to the location of the original temple was chosen for the construction. In 2014, prayer services began to be held regularly at this place. In September 2019 A wooden church was built and consecrated on October 5 of the same year.
The Church of the Three Saints in Ramenki is dedicated to Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom, outstanding ecumenical teachers and hierarchs. Saint Basil the Great surpassed his contemporaries and ancient thinkers in book wisdom, achieved perfection in eloquence and philosophy, and most importantly, comprehended the true Christian teaching. Leading a virtuous life full of non-possessiveness and chastity, he was elevated to the episcopal throne at the age of 40. Saint Gregory the Theologian reached the heights of theology and defeated everyone with wisdom, both in verbal disputes and in the interpretation of the dogmas of faith, for which he was named a Theologian. He was a saint in Constantinople for 12 years, having established Orthodoxy, and then, retreating due to his advanced age, he retired to mountain monasteries, completing his earthly journey at the age of 60. Saint John Chrysostom surpassed the Hellenic sages with reason, grace of speech and the gift of persuasion, his interpretations of the Holy Scriptures are considered unsurpassed. He led a virtuous life, was a source of mercy and love, an ardent teacher of faith, pastored the Church of Christ for six years and completed his earthly journey at the age of 60. The saints, who appeared in a vision to one bishop, testified to their equal glory before God and ordered their memory to be united into a single feast day, reminding them that they had lived and worked for the good of the unity of the Church. The patronal feast of the temple is celebrated on February 12.
