The Church of the Savior Not Made with Hands on Setuni is an Orthodox church in Moscow, located on Ryabinovaya Street, 18, at the Kuntsevsky cemetery, on the banks of the Setuni River. It is an object of cultural heritage of regional importance. It was built in 1673-1676 in the Spasskoe-Manukhino estate, which belonged to boyar Artamon Matveev. In 1809, the church was rebuilt: the bell tower and refectory were erected, and the altar was set up in honor of St. Gregory the Decapolite. In 1833, a stone fence was erected around the building, and in 1844, construction began on the north aisle, which was consecrated in 1850. in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. At the beginning of the 20th century, the old bell tower was dismantled, and in its place in 1905, a new three-tiered tent bell tower in the neo-Russian style was erected by architect Vyacheslav Zhigardlovich. In 1932-1937, Archpriest Vasily Guryev served in the church. He was shot in 1937 and canonized in 2005. In 1941, the church was closed, the upper parts of the building were dismantled so that they would not serve as a landmark for aviation. In the following years, industrial enterprises were located in the building, and as a result of the fire, the iconostasis of the 17th century and many icons were lost. The only surviving shrine is the temple icon of the Savior Not Made with Hands (19th century). In 1968, restoration began, but was soon suspended. In 1989, the dilapidated building was returned to the faithful, and services resumed in May of the same year. In 1996, Patriarch Alexy II consecrated the main altar, and a carved gilded five-row iconostasis was installed. In the 2000s, the temple was painted by the artel “Joy”. The great consecration took place on December 19, 2013 and was performed by Bishop Ignatius (Punin). On April 6, 2014, Patriarch Kirill celebrated the liturgy in the church. Behind the altar is the Diocesan Cemetery of the Moscow clergy, where Priest Daniel Sysoev was buried in 2009.
