A week later, He appeared before them again to convince Thomas by allowing him to touch His wounds. During the forty days after the resurrection, the Savior appeared to his disciples many times, instructing them and strengthening them in their faith. On the fortieth day, He ascended to heaven, promising the sending down of the Holy Spirit. From that moment on, the apostles, inspired by divine revelation, began to spread the teachings of Christ throughout the world.
