Yauza Park, Yauza Ecocenter

In the Yauza Park in northeastern Moscow, a unique multimedia space operates – the Yauza Ecocenter. Opened in 2022 at 10/4 Yurlovsky Proezd, it has become a point of attraction for everyone interested in the future of the planet and modern professions related to environmental care. The center’s exhibition is divided into five thematic zones, each offering an immersive experience into a specific area of “green” professions. The “Nature” zone is dedicated to eco-urbanists, agroecologists, and veterinarian-rehabilitators; in virtual reality, visitors can treat deer, manage the development of an eco-friendly city, or grow plants. The “Human” zone talks about eco-dietitians, eco – volunteers, and tourism managers; visitors embark on virtual expeditions through nature reserves and try their hand at creating eco – blogs. The “City” zone introduces the principles of sustainable urban development, waste recycling, and noise pollution control – here, you can design a “smart” apartment or an eco-park. The “Eco-Technologies” zone opens up the world of alternative energy and modern materials; guests learn how to calculate their carbon footprint, while a special robotic arm helps create new materials and participate in games with virtual cities. Finally, the “Proflaboratory” is the heart of the center’s practical section – a space for workshops, lectures, and presentations. Here, visitors engage in 3D modeling, conduct chemistry experiments, study microorganisms under microscopes, and even recycle plastic into original keychains. Regarding operating hours, the Ecocenter is open to visitors from Tuesday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and on weekends from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Monday is a technical day. The center’s team regularly organizes a variety of events, including guided tours of the “Ecological Professions of the Future” exhibition for groups aged 5 and up, workshops on physics, biology, and 3D modeling for children aged 6-13, exciting quests in the style of “Fort Boyard” for kids aged 7-13, lectures and open classes from invited experts, and ecological walks through the picturesque Yauza Park. The current schedule can always be found on the Ecocenter’s official website.
