Church in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God «The Burning Bush»

The church of the Icon of the Mother of God “the Burning Bush” in Otradnoye is located at 10A, Yurlovsky passage. Its story began in 2010. The Otradnoye district was in great need of a new church, because there was only one temple and two chapels in the district at that time – and the population of the district was more than 175 thousand people. All preliminary work was carried out under the supervision of the rector of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin in Vladykino, Archpriest Sergiy Tkachenko. Through his works, the community of the temple that had not yet been built began to form, and the project was drawn up. In 2013, the rector, Father Dmitry Bondarenko, was appointed. A stone was laid on the site of the planned construction, and a temporary temple in honor of Prince Vladimir equal to the Apostles was erected nearby in a month and a half. The first Liturgy was celebrated in this church on January 5, 2014. Since 2015, construction of the main church began – on April 22, His Holiness performed the rite of consecration of the bookmark. The church was designed by the architect Andrey Obolensky in the style of classical Russian churches of the XV-XVIII centuries. The five-domed cathedral, 36 meters high, was built for three years. On October 21, 2018, with the blessing of His Holiness, Archbishop Sergiy (Chashin) of Solnechnogorsk performed the rite of the great consecration of the temple in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God “the Burning Bush” and celebrated the first Divine Liturgy. The central altar of the temple was consecrated in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Burning Bush”, the right (southern) — in honor of the Great Martyr and healer Panteleimon, the left (northern) — in honor of St. Irinarch, a recluse of Rostov. On July 16, 2020, by the decree of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Priest Dionysius Grishkov, responsible for the mission among migrants in Moscow, was appointed as rector of the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “the Burning Bush” in Otradnoye. Nowadays, our parish has an Evangelical circle, an Altar Boy’s School, a Sunday school for children, courses on church embroidery and a Cinema Workshop club for teenagers.
