The settlement of Sosenki has been known since the beginning of the XVI century. It originally belonged to the Moscow Simonov Monastery. In 1672, the first wooden church was built here in honour of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, which turned Sosenki into a village.

The village of Satino-Russoye was founded by Ivan Kalita, who received from the khan the label of princely rule and the duty to collect tribute. The temple was probably built at the same time as the village, as was customary in those days.

The Icon of the Mother of God “The Quick Listener” (Greek: γοργοεπήκοο – “Gorgoepecoos”) is a miraculous image painted on Mount Athos and kept in the Dokhiar Monastery.

In the 18th century, Filimonki Estate belonged to the princes Svyatopolk-Chetvertinsky.

The church of the Georgian Icon of the Mother of God in Marushkino is located at 8 possession, Privolnaya Street.

The Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in Bolshoye Pokrovskoye is located at 11/1, Lesnaya Street. The Feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, celebrated on April 7 (according to the new style), occupies a special place in the Christian calendar.

The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross is dedicated to the great feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Kryokshino on September 27.  On this day, Orthodox Christians remember two important events related to the Life-giving Cross of the Lord.

The temple dedicated to the martyrs Vera, Nadezhda, Lyubov and their mother Sofia got its name not by chance. The names of these saints symbolize the main Christian virtues that form the basis of faith.

Vasily Ivanovich Belavin, the future Patriarch Tikhon of Moscow and All Russia, was born on January 19, 1865 in the village of Klin, the Pskov governorate, in the family of a priest.

The icon “Unfading Colour” (or “Fragrant Colour”) is one of the revered images of the Virgin, the creation of which is associated with the iconographic traditions of post-Byzantine masters.
