Moscow Heraldic Hall

The Moscow Heraldic Hall is a branch of the Museum of Moscow, opened on August 22, 2023. The Hall provides an opportunity to learn about the capital’s symbolism: state, territorial, and municipal symbols, as well as to see flags and heraldic panels. It is the only exhibition space in Russia where the standards of the official symbols of the Russian Federation and its capital are presented: the State Coat of Arms and the State Flag of the Russian Federation, the coat of arms and flag of the city of Moscow, a copy of the Victory Banner, as well as standard samples of the coats of arms and flags of all 132 intracity municipalities of the city of Moscow. A place of honor is occupied by the image of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious, the heavenly patron of Moscow. The Moscow Heraldic Hall has established itself as a new unique venue for thematic conferences, ceremonial ceremonies, forums, meetings, and exhibitions. Annually, on August 22, the Day of the State Flag of the Russian Federation, the Moscow Heraldic Forum takes place in the Moscow Heraldic Hall. Organized by the Heraldic Council of the City of Moscow, the forum addresses issues of improving heraldry and symbolism in state, public, educational, and methodological activities, in culture and art, as well as in museum and expert work. The Moscow Heraldic Hall also regularly hosts excursions, lectures, and the Olympiad for schoolchildren «Museums. Parks. Estates», and since 2024, a unique New Year’s theatrical project called «The Moscow Heraldic Tree». You can visit the Moscow Heraldic Hall independently or with a guided tour.
