Monument dedicated to the pupils of the Moscow special artillery schools

The monument is a massive rectangular granite slab of dark gray color, on which the words are carved: “To the pupils of the Moscow special Artillery schools who showed courage and heroism in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.” In the right part of the monument, high reliefs of figures of a Red Army officer, four young men in army uniforms and a teenage boy are cut down, and in the left – the words of dedication are carved: “To the pupils of the Moscow special artillery schools who showed courage and heroism in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45” and the badge of the Komsomol on the fluttering ribbon. Probably, the figures of young men depict graduates of the artillery special school who leave its walls to go to the front to defend their Motherland, the officer is their commander, and the boy is a student from a new generation of students who replaced the graduates. The place for the monument was chosen for a reason: in 1938-1941 the Second special artillery school was located in the building of the school in front of which it was installed.
