Vladimir Nikolaevich Chelomey was a designer of rocket and space technology, a mechanical engineer in matters of control processes. General Designer of aviation, rocket and rocket and space technology, Hero of Socialist Labor twice, winner of the Lenin and three State Prizes of the USSR. Author of 87 scientific papers and inventions on special topics. Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 9th, 10th and 11th convocations. He led the creation of the PuVRD – pulsating jet engine, projectile aircraft, cruise missile systems: for firing at ground targets, anti-ship complexes, space systems and vehicles, automatic reconnaissance stations «Almaz», strategic missile systems with ICBMs. The bust of Vladimir Nikolaevich Chelomey is made of bronze and mounted on a granite pedestal. The scientist is presented in an official suit, with awards on his chest. The pedestal is encircled by a bronze ribbon on which the awards are repeated. Under the ribbon is the inscription: «Hero of Socialist Labor Academician Chelomey Vladimir Nikolaevich». For special merits in the development of science and technology, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated April 25, 1963, he was awarded the second gold medal “Hammer and Sickle”».
