Nikolai Frantsevich Gastello was a Soviet military pilot, participant in three wars, captain, the Hero of the Soviet Union.

Aleksander Nikolaevich Bakulev was a Soviet surgeon scientist, one of the founders of cardiovascular surgery in the USSR, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Academician and President of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences, Honored Scientist of the RSFSR.

Aleksander Lvovich Mints was the Head of the Radio Engineering Laboratory of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences. He was born in Rostov-on-Don.

In September 2008, a memorial stone with a plaque was installed in the Aviators’ Park, on which the inscription is indicated: “To aviators, testers and defenders of the Moscow sky who died in the Khodynka Field (1910-1970).”

Alexey Dmitrievich Speransky was a Soviet pathologist, Academician of the Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR, Major General of the Medical Service, laureate of the USSR State Prize and the I.P. Pavlov Prize of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Honored Scientist of the RSFSR.

Boris Nikolaevich Yuryev was a Russian and Soviet aviator scientist, a full member of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1943), Lieutenant General of the Engineering and Technical Service (1944).

Vasily Vasilyevich Parin was one of the outstanding scientists in the field of physiology and pathology of blood circulation, academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1966) and the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (1944).

Valery Pavlovich Chkalov was the test pilot of the V.R. Menzhinsky Aviation Plant № 39 of the USSR People’s Commissariat of Heavy Industry, commander of the ANT-25 crew, the Hero of the Soviet Union.

Mikhail Vasilyevich Vodopyanov was a Soviet pilot, a participant in the rescue of the crew of the steamer Chelyuskin, a participant in Arctic and high–latitude expeditions, an aviation major general, a member of the USSR Writers’ Union, a member of the USSR Central Executive Committee, the Hero of the Soviet Union.

Aleksander Petrovich Krylov was a Soviet geologist, specialist in the field of oil production, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
